Seb Lawson, who lives in St Owen’s Cross, near Ross-on-Wye, has been selected for the Independent Schools Football Association’s (ISFA) South U16s representative squad.

The local teenager will feature against Essex Schools at Chigwell School on Sunday, October 14th, after impressing in trials at Eton College.

Seb was selected for Newport County Under 15s Academy last season, and enjoyed a successful tour of the Czech Republic.

The attacking player was also part of Monmouth School for Boys’ U15s team, who was unbeaten during the last campaign and finished third in the National Schools Football Performance League for independent schools.

Master in Charge of Football at Monmouth School for Boys, Mr Mark Tamplin, said: “I am extremely proud of Seb’s footballing progress.
