Teenage footballer, Seb Lawson, from Ross-on-Wye, scored a fine goal recently on his regional debut.
Seb helped the Independent Schools Football Association’s (ISFA) South Under-16s team to a crushing 6-1 win against Essex Schools.
The 15-year-old netted in the second half of the match as the ISFA team put together a strong performance in their first outing, at Chigwell School.
Seb, a pupil at Monmouth School for Boys, has now been selected for the team’s second fixture against Kent Schools at the City of London School on Sunday 4th November (11am kick off).
The Monmouth student was selected for Newport County Under-15s Academy last season and enjoyed a tour in the Czech Republic.
He was also part of Monmouth School for Boys’ Under-15s who were unbeaten during the last campaign and finished third in the National Schools Football Performance League for independent schools.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
