The lucky winner of a personal football session with world record freestyler, Ash Randall is 12-year-old Sam Thorne from Ross-on-Wye. The Ross Gazette teamed up with Ross Juniors Football Club to run a competition for one lucky reader, and ten friends to win the half-hour session with Ash on Saturday, September 3rd.

Ross Juniors FC have been awarded the opportunity to host a McDonalds FA Football Community Day which is taking place on Saturday, September 3rd at Ross Sports Centre from 9am-12pm.  The event is for the whole community and is not just a club event, so the club are hoping that a lot of non-club members will come down to see what Ross Juniors is all about. 

The bar and refreshments, including BBQ, will be open all morning. Alongside this there will be football games and training sessions going on, including a visit from a QPR Academy side. 

There will also be a Football Fete being run offering visitors many attractions and games to take part in.

Special attrations include;

• Hereford FC will be attending with their speed cage, to see who has the hardest shot in Ross.

• Zorb Football- football in inflatable balls!

• Ash Randall – Guinness World Record Holder Freestyler will be running freestyle football sessions and demonstrating his many skills.

• Football Fete; games such as crossbar challenge and penalty shootout.

• Toddler 3-5year old introductory session being run.

• Playstation FIFA challenge.

• Bouncy castle.

Local McDonalds’ franchisee, Trevor Smith, will be attending to award prizes and visit the club. 

Then at 12.30pm there will be an auction in the bar to raise funds for the club, so far they have a signed England football,  signed Hereford FC shirt, a signed Tottenham shirt by Ardiles and Villa, signed Hal Robson-Kanu shirt, signed Worcestershire Cricket Bat, two PGL holidays and many other prizes.
