Fownhope FC were left frustrated at the weekend as their first team game was called off late due to Leominster Town being unable to field a team.

The postponement came at a bad time for Fownhope as they looked to continue the momentum from two wins on the bounce.

Looking to improve on last season's third place finish in the Premier League Fownhope got off to a disappointing start to the season, losing three of their four opening league matches.

However, a 6-2 win against Weobley in the HFA?Charity Bowl, and a 2-0 league victory in a tight match against Pegasus have seen Fownhope hit form. This Saturday they face the difficult task of playing top of the table Westfield Resreves, away in the Journal Trophy.

Fownhope Reserves continued their positive start to the season, they drew 1-1, away to Bromyard Town. Dan James scored for Fownhope half way through the first half and they held the lead until five minutes from the end when Bromyard equalised. On Saturday the Reserves travel to Ledbury Reserves to play in the Ross Junior Cup.
