While the nation was being encouraged to stay at home and turn-up their heating systems, 53 Senior members at Ross Golf Club took part in their annual 'Three Clubs and a Putter' 16 holes stableford event.
Thanks to severe frost on the day, the Club's tree-lined Gorsley course had been transformed into a delightful wintry wonderland and the rock-hard conditions were ideal for the type of competition played. With the ball travelling prodigious distances it was not entirely surprising that over 50% of those who took part played to their handicap or better. Don Punnett and Peter Landau were able to maintain the winning form that both displayed in the Seniors Christmas competition, and the remarkable 39 points scored by Don enabled him to take the day's top prize.
Peter Landau, and his ever reliable short game, resulted in an equally impressive 38 points total to make the runners-up spot.
