Following on from the excitement of the Ryder Cup, the Sondheim Cup was played for by 48 ladies at Ross Golf Club on Tuesday, October 2nd.

The teams were dressed in team colours, with many European and American flags in evidence.

Friendly rivalry between the American and the European teams grew as 16 golfers played their individual matchplay games, 8 teams played foursomes, and 8 teams played 4 ball better ball games.

The matches were followed by a very convivial post match tea, with a swingometer relaying the final result of a USA team win with a convincing 5 match clear margin.
