There was a certain sadness prevailing over the South Herefordshire Seniors’ annual general meeting as John Harper was retiring from his position of Secretary and Treasurer after 11 years in office.

Fortunately for the club, John has agreed to remain on the seniors committee. He has been a stalwart of the club for years and will be a hard act to follow.

As a token of their appreciation for all his hard work the outgoing captain, Malcolm Connah, on behalf of the members, presented John with his chosen gift - a garden table and chairs. He was also presented with a selection of wines to enjoy with his good lady.

The following were elected at the AGM: Captain - Fred Cook; Vice Captain - Eifion Rees; Secretary - John Duvall; Treasurer - Jon Davies; Handicap and Competitions Manager - Richard Hammett.
