South Herefordshire Golf Club’s Men’s Captain, Tony Green, has chosen local charity Hope Support Services to benefit from his fundraising.
A collection tin and sweepstake kicked off his efforts earlier in the year, and a recent golf tournament upped the total to an impressive £792.
Nine teams took to the fairway, whilst extra contests such as nearest the pin brought a competitive edge to the occasion.
“We are thrilled Tony decided to pick us to fundraise for,” said Hope’s Lorna Russell. “The Golf Day was a fantastic event, and it was great to see so many people getting behind it!
“We’d like to thank everyone at the club who helped organise the day and also everyone who donated raffle prizes – we really appreciate having the support of so many people in our local community.”
All money raised will go to supporting young people when a close family member is diagnosed with a life threatening illness.
