LAST Tuesday Ross ladies hosted their annual Invitation Day, always a much anticipated and enjoyable occasion.

A large field took to the course and the eventual winning team, with 43 points, was Dorothy Green with her guest Chris Lees and in second place, with 42 points, was Ruth Kirchmeier and her guest Sheilagh Inglis.

The following Tuesday it was the turn of the Ross Ladies to travel away for the Lady Captains annual awayday competition.

This year this was held at Wragg Barn just outside Swindon; everyone enjoyed the course despite a bit of swirling wind and showery rain. The hospitality of Wragg Barn was second to none and a good day was had by all.

The individual competition was won by Lois Price with 37 points and runner up Sandra Hampson with 36 points. The team event was won by Fiona Lucas, Cass Todd and Sandra Hampson and Nearest the Pin by Scarlett Knipe.
