Ross Golf Club’s Annual Layton Cup for its Men Seniors members is always a well supported occasion involving six rounds of stableford competitions, played throughout the summer, with the Champion emerging through his best three rounds points total based on net handicap performances.

With Richard Tromans and Steve Bartholomew finding themselves together at the top of the final results table with 120 points each, this meant a further 18 holes needed to be played to determine the 2019 honours board winner.

The play-off proved to be a low scoring contest. With Richard conceding the match on the 16th green, Steve Bartholomew can look forward to proper recognition of his achievement at an inaugural Seniors men’s black-tie dinner taking place at the Club’s restaurant on Friday, November 1st.
