Niall Powell took victory at Ross-on-Wye Golf Club’s Annual Cenetenary Cup and did so in some style with a three under par gross score.

Niall, 18, joined Ross?Golf Club three years ago and in 2013 was the Gloucestershire County Boys under 16 champion, taking the Ross Gazette’s Young Sports Person award in the same year.

His round this weekend was his best ever, with a gross score of 69 including two eagles and two birdies, which saw Niall win both the gross and nett catergories.
