Chapman and Corbitt are back at the top of the South Herefordshire Golf Club Seniors Winter League with 120 points. They are followed closely by Roger Barnes and Ashley Letts on 119 points. Keith Nind and Richard Hammett are in third place with a score of 115.

The third round of the Winter League results were as follows: Chris Burgess and Peter Bubb, 41pts beat Geoff Eyres and Bob Hughes on count back, with Keith Nind and Richard Hammett in third position on 40pts.

The seniors Christmas Party was a sell out, and the Shot Gun Start Texas Scramble, prior to the dinner, was a great success. More than 50 members took part and the winning trio were Ken Tolley, Keith Nind and Bob Chance. Runners up were John Tecke, Jon Davies and Richard Hoare.

The course was in excellent condition and Vice Captain, Fred Cook, presented the ground staff with a gift to show the members’ appreciation of their hard work during the year.

Roger Barnes was presented with the SWS summer cup, Ken Tolley for his tour victory and Geoff Eyres for the Captain’s Away Day success.

Following the excellent two course meal, members were entertained by a few of their colleagues before the ‘coaches’ arrived at 5pm.
