Goodrich Men’s team kicked off the summer season with a good away win at Woolhope, against their ‘B’ team, on Monday, May 8th.

After a slow start, as the team adapted to the different court surface, Goodrich went on to win both rubbers in straight sets with Mike Buck and Andrew Downing winning a fantastic doubles match of high quality against the opposition’s first pair. Daniel Madge and Steve Heard duly beat their second pair.

In the reverse rubbers, Mike and Andrew had a convincing win, so despite losing the other rubber the match finished 3-1 to Goodrich.

Their next match is at home, again to Woolhope ‘B’, so the team await that result with anticipation.
