On Saturday, February 24th, a very chilly morning indeed, Goodrich Ladies’ ‘B’ashers travelled to Hereford to take on Whitecross Ladies ’A’ team.

Under a cloudless blue sky, first couple Rachael Wintle and Cath Hutchinson got off to a good start defeating the opposition’s first couple by a score of 6-1/6-2, whilst second couple Kirsten Mathews and Jill Brown finally saw off couple number two by the score of 6-4/6-4.

The return rubbers saw Rachael and Cath win again, doing so by 6-2/6-1. Kirsten and Jill also claimed victory with a score line of 6-4/6-2.

Next week the team will be travelling to Ledbury to take on their ’C’ team, hoping to earn another victory and retain their position at the top of Division 5 of the H & W Winter League.
