Goodrich Ladies ’B’ Team played at home to Ludlow Castle ’B’ Team on Sunday, 8th January, in the H and W Tennis League, Division 5.

On a very damp and murky morning they narrowly missed out by losing two out of three championship tie-breaks! Kirsten Ainsworth and Lesley Winters lost both their matches on championship tie-breaks by the narrowest of margins, whilst Sue Harley and Kim Martin won one rubber but lost the other rubber.

Although the overall result was 3 rubbers to 1 in favour of Ludlow, only eight games separated the teams out of 110 played. Matches come thick and fast now for the ’B’ Team, so fingers crossed they have blown away the Christmas cobwebs and can put a good run of results together for the second half of the season.
