Ross Juniors Girls took four teams to Bristol Academy to enter their annual community tournament on Saturday. The games were played in football cages in a fast 5-a-side format without throw ins and corners. The tournament saw over 70 teams enter from all around the South West, Midlands and Wales. Several professional football clubs like Cheltenham, Swindon and Leyton Orient all sent a team ensuring the standard was very high. The Ross girls did brilliantly and it was a unique opportunity to benchmark the club against sides from outside of Herefordshire. The Under 10s managed to finish third in their section and were also given an hours coaching by Bristol Academy players.
