On a very wet and cold Tuesday afternoon, the U16 Girls’ hockey team from JKHS travelled to Clifton College, Bristol to represent Herefordshire at the West of England Tournament.

For many of the team, this was their first experience of high level hockey, and their opponents were Clifton College, Wycliffe College and Godolphin College.

Clifton College were tough opponents, but the other two games were more equal, with goals scored at either end.

Huge praise is given from JKHS to the year ten and eleven students, who have worked extremely hard to get to this tournament.

The school is also very grateful to Pete Jenkins, who coached at the tournament and who has been working with and supporting the team for the last few years.
