Luke Jones managed a fourth place in the first race of the season at Brands Hatch at the weekend despite riding a bike which had only just arrived in this country.

Luke, riding in the 600 Super-Sport Class had two races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.

In qualifiying Luke was in the 4th row on the grid for race 1. He made good progress in the 16 lap race and finished 8th. He achieved the fastest lap in the race so in his second race on the Sunday Luke was on the front row.

Luke moved into third place on the first lap then to first by lap nine. He finished fourth after 28 laps, his fastest lap was 46.957seconds. A new lap record was set during that race by Billy McConnell at 46.777.

The next meeting is at Thruxton on April 12th, 13th and 14th.
