On a wet bleak Sunday morning Ross Juniors Under 8s travelled to the Pegasus ground for a difficult league fixture.

The boys had the added excitement of the referree being Jamie Pitman, the Hereford United manager.

In what was intitially an even sided contest the Ross defence of the excellent Michael in goal and Max and Archie Mac held firm against a strong Pegasus attack.

A great break from Ross saw Archie Mac play a delightful and composed pass across the Pegasus box for Mark to coolly finish. The score remained 1-0 to half time.

The second half saw Ross rise into the ascendcy inspired by several dynamic and forceful runs from the outstanding Jack H and fine support play from Ollie and Archie. Mark took an excllent corner which Jacob connected with to head Ross second.

The boys were relentless and got a third near the end when Jack W showed some good awareness to put himself in front of goal and finish from close range. The game soon ended with Ross the victors by three goals to nil. It was a fine reward for the boy's best performance of the season against strong hard working opponents.
