On Saturday Ross Juniors recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory against Lads Club, with goals coming from Andrew Densley (2) and Matt Davies.
The game started slowly with both defences holding firm. The back three for Ross of Greg Burford, Matt Davies and Dave Taylor saw a lot of the ball and were rarely troubled. The best of the early exchanges fell to Jimmy Moreton. Eli Wooding forced a good save from the away side's keeper and when the ball fell to Moreton he hit the post.
The deadlock was broken on 25 minutes, Jimmy Moreton whipped in an excellent ball into the box which Davies steered home from close range for his first goal this season. A few minutes later Ross keeper Carl Roberts had to be alert to come off his line and save well from the on rushing Lads Club striker. Ross dominated the rest of the half but couldn't add to their lead, Wooding forced several excellent saves from the Lads Club keeper to keep the score 1-0 at half time.
