Rowers from Monmouth School for Girls shone at the Bristol Avon Regatta on Saturday, May 12th.

The Junior 18 VIII won the Women’s Open Eight, beating a crew from the University of Bath in the semi-final and then overcoming Pangbourne College in a closely-fought final.

Coxed by Alex Atock, the triumphant Monmouth crew were Zara Blackstock, Nia Hunter, Olivia Bainbridge, Catrin Werrett, Sonia Ambrose, Pippa Thomas, Lucy Davies and Fay Blagbrough

The school’s rowers will be racing later this month at National Schools’ Regatta, and Monmouth Regatta over the Bank Holiday weekend.
