On Saturday Ross Juniors started their home campaign in the Herefordshire Premier League against Pegasus, after a pulsating game Ross came away with a 3 – 2 victory, thanks to a late goal from Jimmy Moreton, in only their second game back in the top league. After a strong performance last week at Leominster, Ross wanted to start the game strongly, however they were sloppy in possession and gave too many free kicks away in dangerous positions. Pegasus knocked the ball around well, Ross were in indebted to Taylor and Burford, at the back, who dealt with everything that came at them.

Against the run of play Ross took the lead, a nice piece of inter play between Stuart and Moreton released Densley, who finished well after being put through one on one, his second goal in two games. Ross settled and they started to play much better, going close on a couple of occasions. They pressured to double their lead but were hit with a sucker punch just before half time. Ross failed to mark the Pegasus centre at a corner and his free header leveled the scores.
