Members of Ross Golf Club were not deterred by the frosty conditions that faced them when they sought to qualify to take part in the final of the Barnfield Trophy in which 60 will compete, in March 2013. There were 100 members involved with the competition's second of six Stableford event's and the Club's B Team Captain, Colin Bennion with an impressive 45 points score found himself at the top of the final score-sheet. In fact the top performers in Handicap Division 1, being Colin himself, Steve Wallbank with 44 points and Paul Cresswell with 42 points were successful qualifiers in the competition's first round played two weeks ago. This means that the six members who go forward for the final from this Division were Robin Darling, Simon Buck and Richard Brough with 41 points each and David Letman and Nick Swan with 40 points each and Seniors Captain Mike Harris who scored 39 points.
