Ross Juniors Reserves Men's side played host to Minsterworth Reserves on Saturday. A point behind their opponents in the league, Ross were looking to sustain the momentum from last week's 16-0 victory and continue their progression up the table. Things went very much better than planned as they won with 11 goals to one.
Rich Denby put Ross ahead after five minutes, converting a clever cross from Jack Bray. Ross kept on dominating the visitors with their tidy football as Callum McCulloch continued his recent fine form in front of goal by adding two more in quick succession, putting the hosts 3-0 up.
Wingers Jon Woodward and Jack Bray were a constant threat down the flanks and both were rewarded for their efforts, picking up a goal apiece. Bray taking on the last two defenders and slotting past the keeper, Woodward cutting in from the left and slotted the ball into the corner to give Ross a 5-0 lead.
Dave Nicholls had a goal disallowed for offside, but made up for it straight after by converting a deft flick over the head of the helpless keeper.Read the full report in this week's Ross Gazette
