Ross Juniors U11s have reached the Tony Cole cup final at Edgar Street for the second year running. After beating Hinton in last year's final the boys played Pegasus at Ross Sports Centre for the opportunity to do it all over again.

It was due to be a very tight game but Ross surprised everyone by providing the performance of the season. For the majority of this match Ross controlled the game and the first goal came from a great delivery by Rob from a free kick and Alex met the ball with a powerful header, 1-0 Ross.

The second half started off the same way and midway into the second half a well worked cross from the right by TJ found Finn who slotted home. A couple minutes later a powerful shot outside of the box by Rob made it three and a mazey run by Toby down the left flank, who then squared the ball for Finn to fire home, made it four. The Pegasus team seemed completely shell shocked by the way Ross played. Every member of the team from Jake in goal, the defence of James, Harry and Toby; the midfield quartet of TJ, Rob, Alex and Lewis, through to Finn and Tom up front produced performances to be proud of.

This win is special for the team as they have dedicated it to Ron Harrison, grandfather of Tom P, who sadly passed away over the Christmas period. Ron was this team's biggest supporter, attending every training session and match. It was his funeral yesterday (Tuesday) and the news of his death has been met with great sadness by all involved with the team.

Juniors now await the winner of the game between Pegasus Jets and Kimbolton who play their semi-final on February 2nd.
