Ross Juniors Sunday side have earned a place in the Wye Guild Cup final after beating Barrels in the semi final 3-2 on Sunday. It was back to familiar territory as Ross had their first home game for over two months. The pitch was passed playable by the referee after an early inspection following the recent floods. The home grounds man did a sterling job in ensuring that the game could be played.
The visitors had the better of the early exchanges. Then with their first chance of the game Ross exploded into life. Chris Davies picked out Eli Wooding and he ran at the defence and let loose a shot from 23 yards with a ferocious power that smacked into the roof of the net via the cross bar.
