On Friday, October 19th five John Kyrle High School pupils travelled to Keysoe Equestrian Centre in Bedfordshire; Evie Bennett age 11, Zara Powell age 14, Archie Thomas age 11, Ronie Thomas age 13 and Zoe Whitehouse age 13.

The 75-80cm showjumping team of Archie, Evie, Zara and Zoe had qualified by riding as a team for the first time at Rectory Farm Equestrian Centre, Duntisbourne only five weeks earlier. The team all rode fantastic clear rounds to put them through to the top ten teams to jump off against the clock.

In the jump off JKHS were the 8th team to go, they all rode amazingly, coming 3rd team overall out of 36 teams that had qualified from the UK. Archie and Evie also qualified as individuals in this class coming 14th and 19th out of 39 other individuals.

Zoe Whitehouse qualified for the 75-80cm Jumping With Style at Allenshill back in May. Zoe rode a great round at the National Championships coming 5th individually out of a class of 25.

This is a fabulous achievement for all the riders to qualify to go to the Nsea National Championships, for some pupils being the first time.
