ROSS cruised into the next round of the North Midlands Vase on Saturday, August 29th, as they brushed aside Edwardians, scoring seven unanswered tries dominating the encounter from the first whistle.
There were debuts for Aleen, KC, Ben and Josh Element which added to the energy in the team.
Ross played direct high tempo rugby which left the Edwardians chasing shadows and it was debutant Aleen who opened the scoring after five minutes, finishing off a great move started with Gareth Holdsworth. Some great handling saw Aleen burst through two tackles to score, Holdsworth added the two and Ross were 7-0 up.
Ross were 12-0 ahead within minutes, again some great hands put another debutant, Ben Element clear wide out on the left and he had the pace to score in the corner.
Ross were in complete control now, they went close on two occasions, but the final pass went begging.
