Ross-on-Wye 29 - Bristol Aero 15

Ross went into the Christmas break with a well deserved away win in Bristol last Saturday. They bagged a try bonus point to boot, which saw them climb to fourth in the league. As the top five are in a very close bunch, any one of the five teams could get the top two promotion places.

Whilst the lineout wobbled a bit under pressure, the scrum was dominant and Ross was the better side in possession. They ran in five tries with winger, Craig Smith, getting a brace and Gavin Oates, Thai Hayward and Josh Walker chipping in with a try apiece. Thai added two conversions and Ross ran out the comfortable winners.

Ross have a break from league action now until January 14th. However, the much anticipated Boxing Day match of Spring Chickens v Mature Cheeses kicks off on December 26th at 12.30pm at Greytree. Everyone is welcome to shake off the Christmas Day binge by popping down to support.

Any former players are welcome to dig out their boots and relive the glory of yesteryear.
