Ross 1sts went into the Christmas break top of the table, having played 11 games and won all 11. Their winning streak continued on Saturday when they were comfortable winners against an under strength Ashley Down Old Boys, winning 80 - 0.

They ran in 12 unanswered tries to round off a very strong start to their season. The tries were evenly spread between both backs and forwards which epitomises how Ross want to play. In this team you are a rugby player first; the number on your back is for set pieces only.

The squad have shown skill and character in equal measure in the first half of this season, however the job is only half done. They will start again in the new year with a trip to local rivals, Bream on January 13th.

The coaching staff would like to thank the players for their commitment and sponsors and supporters for their loyal support, not forgetting the officials and volunteers for their efforts, without them the club would fail to function.

The Club is looking forward to seeing everyone at 12 noon on Boxing Day at Greytree for the annual youngsters v the young at heart, or a feast of rugby, some port and a mince pie.
