The same weekend, a combination of junior and senior rowers headed for the Thames in London to take part in the iconic Pairs Head which is run over a 4 km section of the famous Boat Race route.
At Evesham, no less than 25 junior crews took part, coming away with six wins and three second places. The winners included Emily Hermon, Katie Hermon, Annabel Pope, Yasmin Howe, Oliver Billington, Ben Heyes, Charlie Manning and Ella Bardsley-Taylor.
In the autumn sun on the banks of the Thames at Chiswick, four Ross crews (one senior and three junior) raced the 4 km course in extremely good times.
The highlight was fourth place in the very competitive WJ16 2x event for Daisy Phillips and Lara Banks-Martin, confirming their place in the leading few crews in the country in this category.
