Ross Juniors' poor week continued on Saturday when they lost 2 - 0 away to Kington in the Herefordshire Premier League. Last Tuesday Ross drew with Hinton, having been 2 - 0 up with 10 minutes to go. Ross mananger Dan Morris has expressed his disappointment as he feels Ross should have won both games, with missed chances and lapses in defence costing Ross valuable points.

On Saturday, despite missing a few first team regulars, Ross started the game at a canter and were on top from the first minute. Jon Tookey went close with a shot from distance in only the second minute, Ross continued to batter the home defence and were creating chance after chance, Jimmy Moreton forced two good saves from the keeper, and both Joe Loftus and Jack Bray missed the target from close range, the two centre halves of Greg Burford and Carl Roberts had very little to do in the opening periods. The game changed slightly when Dewi Stuart had to go off injured, when Ross where sorting their formation out the home side broke quickly and scored against the run of play with their first shot at goal after 35 minutes. Ross should have been level straight away but Morteton could only shoot straight at the keeper after being played in by Harry Hall. Then to everyone's amazement Kington scored again on the 40 minute mark, with a strike from distance from their midfielder. The home side went in at half time two up from a half that Ross had looked the more likely to score for most of the opening periods.
