With swirling wind and the threat of rain in the air, Goodrich Ladies, Cath Hutchinson and Rachael Wintle, played their final match on Sunday, June 17th, in the H & W Team Tennis tournament, at home to David Lloyd Bromsgrove.

In the singles match Rachael challenged hard but eventually went down 5-7/0-6, and the other singles match followed a similar pattern with Cath losing 4-6 / 1-6.

Pairing up for the doubles match, Cath and Rachael again put in a good performance but were unable to get the upper hand and the Bromsgrove Ladies took the two sets, 6-4/6-1.

The Goodrich Ladies can now concentrate on their next league match against Manor Park ’B’ in Division 3 of the H & W Summer League which is at 2pm on Saturday, June 30th at Goodrich.
