A team of ten young men paddle boarded 26.2 miles down the River Wye last weekend, in aid of the social action cancer charity ‘Something To Look Forward To’.

This charity passes on donated gifts and experiences to people affected by cancer and their families and carers, including restaurant meals, hotel stays and days out.

The team finished their marathon at Ye Olde Ferrie Inn in Symonds Yat, which makes a regular gift donation of a night’s stay for two people affected by cancer, plus a £50 restaurant meal, each and every month.

The paddle boarders were also supported by Mark, from Ross-on-Wye Canoe Hire, who also donates canoe vouchers to go to couples and families who are affected by cancer in Herefordshire.

The team raised over £6,000 for the charity.
