Goodrich ‘A’ttitudes were playing away against Barnt Green in Division 3 of the H & W Summer League on Sunday, May 19th. Cheryl Mordecai and Kim Martin, as the number one pair, knew they had their work cut out after the warm up and battled hard against a very strong first pair, but saw the first set slip away 1-6, followed by the second set, 3-6.

It was down to Kim and Cheryl to level the tie by the end of the match, no pressure then, which they did against the second pair, with a convincing 6-2 / 6-3 win. With three rubbers apiece, the ladies retired to the club house for a lovely tea whilst the count up of sets and then games commenced. After checking and rechecking, the game score was even with 47 games all. A complete draw! Well played ‘A’ttitudes and a great start to the Summer season. Their next match is away to Manor Park ‘B’ on Thursday, May 23rd.
