On Saturday Ross Juniors senior side travelled to face Weobley in the Herefordshire Premier League, after a bruising encounter the game finished 1 -1, with Ross having to play the last 40 minutes of the game with 10 men after Dave Taylor was sent off for violent conduct. Although it was disappointing for Ross not to have picked up three points come the end of the season this could prove to be a valuable point.Manager Dan Morris made two changes to the starting line up from last week with Aidan Cook and Jimmy Moreton both unavailable. In came Jon Tookey and Andrew Densley, Mike Donaldson kept his place in the starting line up after an impressive performance last week. The game started at a slow tempo where Ross enjoyed long periods of the ball. When Weobley did attack the back three of Dave Taylor, Greg Burford and Matt Davies were comfortable.
It came against the run of play when Weobley took the lead on 20 minutes, a ball was delivered into the box which was met by the home side's striker whose header looped over the dive of keeper Carl Roberts in to the net. Ross almost equalised immediately when Hall hit a rasping shot from the edge of the box but the Weobley keeper made a stunning save.
