Weston FC played Civil Service on Widemarsh Common in the first round of the HFA Burghill Cup on Saturday. Civil Service play in a league above Weston but that made no difference to the team's performance. From the start Weston had several chances to score with the best chance falling to Anthony Gwynne but his header from close range went over the cross bar. Full report in this week's Gazette.
