Whitchurch and Ross-on-Wye fire crews were called to Symonds Yat Rock on Tuesday, December 27th at 4.54pm. They had to perform a cliff and rope rescue.

A woman had fallen but had not gone over the cliff, she had lost her dog but he was later found uninjured by a member of the public.

Whitchurch used a restricted access vehicle, Hereford used an aerial ladder platform. Coleford sent a rescue crew and Ross and Whitchurch also assisted.
