A man who was arrested in Ross-on-Wye in December last year has been sentenced to eight months in prison.
Police were called to reports of a garage being broken into on Gloucester Road, Ross-on-Wye shortly before 3am on December 9th, 2016. Officers attended and arrested a man at the scene.
Luke Thomas, 31-years-old and of no fixed abode, was charged with possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place and possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid/gas/electrical incapacitation device, known as a tazer. He was detained to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on December 10th, 2016.
Thomas pleaded guilty on January 16th, 2017 and was sentenced to eight months and one week in prison. The weapons were forfeited and he was ordered to pay £140 victim surcharge.
