Madam, I wonder how many people are aware that Ross Police are currently making some changes to their building, most of which is not visible from the main road.

However, recently a huge perspex sign has been erected on the grassy banks of Old Maids Walk, without prior indication of what the size or style would be. In my opinion it is totally at odds with the character and history of this area.

At the turn of the century Ross citizens used to walk through that lane to the parish church and the Prospect beyond. Surely this area should still reflect the true nature of its heritage and not become party to such modern and commercial roadside advertising.
