A Ross-on-Wye charity is saying a big thank you to Drybrook Rugby Club for donating more than £1,500 - the proceeds of a three day fundraising session last year.
The club has handed over £1,502.89 to ‘In Their Shoes,’ a charity which supports children who are becoming disengaged from education and socially isolated due to poor mental health.
“We want to say a very big public thank you to the rugby club and its members for what they did last summer,” said Joanne Parsons of In Their Shoes.
“They spent three days doing all sorts of things including a 24 hour rowing marathon and a 100 mile bike ride.
“The money they have raised will keep us going for a whole year. We cannot thank them enough.”See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
