The Ross Gazette contacted Herefordshire Council, after noticing a broken bench on Broad Street in Ross-on-Wye on Friday, June 29th.

A Herefordshire Council spokesperson asked if we could confirm the location, and said they would send someone out to take a look.

The spokesperson later that day said: “We can confirm that Balfour Beatty Living Places is due to repair the bench within the next week. In the meantime, the bench has been taped off for the safety of the public.

“We encourage members of the public to report defects like this to us either via the Herefordshire Council website or our Customer Services team on 01432 261800.”

The Ross Gazette can confirm that the bench was repaired and the tape and cones were removed on Tuesday, July 3rd.
