Ross Town and County Councillors visited Ross Enterprise Park on Monday, February 25th to see the start of work to finally transform this site which is hoped will attract up to 500 new jobs.
The plans at Ross Enterprise Park were inspected by Councillor Harry Bramer, a Cabinet Member of Herefordshire Council, which recently voted to spend £7.2 million pounds on putting in the infrastructure of roads and drainage on the site formally known as Model Farm.
Cllr Bramer, who is also Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, told the Gazette: “In regeneration terms, the building of this new Enterprise Park is the most exciting thing that has happened in Ross since the building of the M50 motorway over 50 years ago. The 250 – 500 new jobs will be high value skilled jobs, and the influx of cash in the area will very much help with the regeneration of the town.”
Councillor Phil Cutter, local member for Ross on Herefordshire Council, said: “As the local councillor for Ross East, I have been involved in the Enterprise Park project for many years and it is fantastic to see it coming to fruition. The location is ideal, with development space available and excellent transport links, and I am very much looking forward to seeing the scheme progress and deliver new jobs and investment to the region.”
The Enterprise Park is the first joint development project for ENGIE and Herefordshire Council, who will be working in partnership.See the full story in this week’s edition of the Ross Gazette, or subscribe to our online edition here
