In spite of the summer rain, a large crowd turned out to line the route and cheer on the Ross Carnival Parade.
A great deal of hard work and imagination had gone into the decorating of the floats and the making of costumes for all the entrants, those on the vehicles, as well as the brilliant array of walkers.
The Mayor of Ross, Councillor John Edwards had a fantastic ride in the procession in a red double-decker bus.
The winning float was the Fun-2-Sea nursery and Ashfield Park School's 'Walking Bus'.
