MADAM, Each May, over 100 volunteers from the community of Ross and the local villages go house-to- house on behalf of Christian Aid week. Everything is in hand for May 13th-19th. We hope that the residents of our local town and area will be generous, courteous and supportive as money is raised to help relieve the poverty in our world.

Most envelopes will be picked up by our very loyal and hard-working helpers, but inevitably some will be missed. This year there are three local outlets who will receive envelopes: Lucas Motorcycles in Brookend Street, GD Parker's on Gloucester Rd, and the Herefordshire Council desk at the Library. If people miss giving then late gifts are welcome at the above addresses or any of the churches. Christian Aid week sees all the churches of the local area working closely together with special prayers in the services on May 13th. Last year's money enabled significant improvements to be made in the co-operatives in Nicaragua. This year's money will help the people of Sierra Leone.

The local committee organises the collection for Ross Town, Bridstow and Wilton, Brampton Abbotts, Peterstow, Walford, Linton, Aston Ingham, Upton Bishop and the St Weonards parish.
