The total profit from the Ross-on-Wye Christmas Fayre totalled £973, which will now be donated to a local charity, St Michael’s Hospice.

Councillors Hannah Lerego, Caroline Bennett and Craig Morgan organised the Christmas Fayre and light switch on. They were commended by Cllr Phil Cutter who said they had put in a “tremendous amount of work.”

The Mayor of Ross, Cllr Colin Gray, said ten Mayors from surrounding towns, and the High Sheriff of Gloucestershire, had attended the Fayre, and they were all very impressed with the hard work that the three councillors had put in.

He added that the Ledbury Mayor who had attended wishes to use the Ross event as a model on which future Christmas Fayres in Ledbury can be based.
