It was a clean sweep for Ian and Eira Pugh at Raglan Christmas Primestock Show on Monday, December 4th 2017.
Ian and Eira, who farm at Three Ashes near Ross-on-Wye won Champion beast in the show and also Reserve Champion beast in the show, and winning every class that they entered.
Prizes received were:
Champion Beast - a stunning Lim X Steer 680kgs, 367p per kilo realising total of £2500. Purchased by James Butchers of Raglan
Reserve Champion with a Charolais X Heifer. Also 680kg 294p per kilo realising total £2000. Purchased by Andy Cornwall Butchers of Ross-on-wye.
They also won classes for the best Heifer, best Steer and best pair of Butchers Beast.
This follows their success at Ross-on-Wye Christmas market last week where they won the Heavy Steer class, Smallholders class cup (for those farming less than 100 Acres) and the most points awarded over all classes Cup. A total of eight cups won in both markets.
