MADAM, On Saturday we attended a Concert put on by Josie and the Ross Choristers in aid of the Ross-on-Wye Royal British Legion.
It was a wonderful night and I am sure I am writing on behalf of everyone who attended to say thank you.
The Master of Ceremonies tied everything together with stories from WW1 and one of the choir members read a poignant letter from his father, written whilst serving. Everyone joined in with the wartime favourites Daisy, Daisy, If you were the only girl in the world and It's a long way to Tipperary, plus many more memorable songs. It was a most fitting end to this very special Remembrance period.
This marked the end of this first year of the Commemorations which will continue over the next four years and the Branch would sincerely like to thank all the people of Ross-on-Wye for their marvellous support.
