The first full council meeting held after the election earlier this month was an indication that the new leader of Herefordshire Council could be in for a difficult four years ahead.

Councillor Jarvis was voted in as the new leader at the meeting in Hereford Shire Hall on Friday, May 27th. He announced his team of top councillors who will form the cabinet. Cllr Jarvis said the six-strong cabinet will be supported by a further six senior councillors, each with a portfolio area of responsibility, to share the load and work closely with officers to roll-out council strategies and policies.
