Councillor Richard Mayo is pushing for Ross Town Council to obtain the keys to the Market House to re-open the building as soon as possible.

Councillor Richard Mayo put forward a motion at Monday's Town Council meeting, which was passed unanimously, to obtain keys to the Market House before the asset transfers are complete.

The motion read: "This Council requests Herefordshire Council to allow access to the Market House before the Asset Transfer is complete. This Council also urges the County of Herefordshire District Council to take all necessary steps to expedite the asset transfer process, including giving instructions immediately to its legal department to press on with the facilitation of that process.

"This Council also asks the County of Herefordshire District Council to agree key dates for the transfer of assets in Ross."
